Bamboo stick incense is the most widely recognized type of incense. A base component such as sandalwood powder, charcoal, herbs or resins is rolled onto the stick.  Essential oils, perfume oils or other ingredients such as herbs, resins & floral extracts (depending on the manufacturer) are then added for fragrance.
