Zukoh Incense Powder Baieido

Product Description

Zukoh (Rubbing incense) is a finely ground powder made from the same ingredients as incense: Cinnamon, Cassia, Clove, Sandalwood, Borneol Camphor, Star Anise, etc. Buddhist monks have used it for centuries for purification before ceremonies, preparing meals, or even touching another person. It has its origins in ancient India where hygiene and spreading germs was a major concern. This wonderfully fragrant incense powder is rubbed into your hands for cleansing and purification. Baieido Incense Company of Sakai City, Japan manufactures our Zukoh. They have been suppliers of medicinal incense (Jinkoyas) since 1657, and have enjoyed the patronage of such prestigious Japanese temples as Koya San and Myoshin Ji.

Established in 1657, Baieido has continuously provided the finest in Japanese incense. With pure ingredients and sacred recipes, their ancient and time honored traditional incense making method has been handed down through the generations in a secret oral tradition. The authentic aromas create a sublime setting for meditation and prayer, yoga practices or simple fragrance enjoyment.

  1. Wonderful body fragrance 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Nov 2014

I adore this product. I mix this with organic jojoba oil and apply as a fragranced body oil. My wrists/arms legs, neck - anywhere! The perfect 'natural' fragrance. This scent is low sillage and light enough to never overpower anyone in your presence, yet I am aware of it and it gives me a feeling of being completely put together, even if I'm out and about wearing only sweats or at home in pajamas. I'm not sure if I like this or the Tokusen powder better. They're both perfect for me and my life.
